Liberals are always screaming when they think someone is violating the constitutional tenet of separation of church and state. However, they seem to allow for certain exceptions:
1) When the state benefits and the church doesn't, such as taxation (lots of goodies for the state there) and the use of church facilities for voting and the temporary housing of school rooms. Now if the things were the other way around, or if the state and church benefited equally from the relationship, it would be a no-no, of course.
2) When social justice is the ultimate of goal of a cozy church/state relationship.
3) When they are in cahoots to promote something such things as the heretical Black Liberation Theology.
Hmmm. Why are conservatives never allowed to carve out any exceptions?
i agree the state is so egocentric want to enjoy good will of God at the expense of the church for once why cant the state think of the church as a major shareholder
